We offer a wide variety of programs to simple stand-up shows to full stage illusion shows. We also do fundraisers and have very nice VBS and family camp packages. We provide clean family quality Christian valued entertainment but for outreachs, VBSs, Camps and Children's Church we have Biblically based message interwoven into the illusins, puppets, music, and juggling.
The Kent Family Illusion Show is currently made up of Victor Kent (38), father of six, and three of the Kent Kids; James Kent (14) eldest of the kids, also Known as Jugglin’ Jim, Cynthia (12) eldest girl, and Miles (9). The family is based in Northern California but travels the world performing illusion shows, stunts, juggling, escapes and more. There are plans to add Victor Kent Jr. (2) to the act in the late summer of 2004.

Jugglin’ Jim has been, like all the Kent Kids, been performing with dad since he was three. An accomplished illusionist he has branched into Juggling. In the Kent Family Illusion Show, Jugglin’ Jim juggles many of the traditional implements of his trade, balls, rings, clubs, etc. But he has branched out into the more dangerous and absurd props. Like, Knifes, axes, machetes, scimitars, fire, body parts, beanbag chairs, and more. In 2001 he held the record as the youngest person to escape from a legitimate straitjacket while suspended 50 feet in the air, upside down, feet held by a crane.

Princess Cynthia took the straitjacket escape record from her brother in 2002 at the age of ten. She even did it faster. A star basketball player at home she takes her athleticism to everything she does in the show. Just you watch her float. She makes it look simple but she will be the first one to tell you it takes a lot of muscle and stamina to do it well. She is the lead box-jumper, as we call assistants in magicdom. But she is a great performer beyond the realm of just assisting. |

Smilin’ Miles, so called because he is never found without a smile, is currently the youngest performer in the show. He, like his siblings, is a talented performer, but he is also an inventor of magic. He will be performing an illusion he designed and built himself in the show. He is also the main animal worker in the show. At one point he even changes into an animal; a 15 pound Flemish Giant Bunny! Miles is also learning balancing, plate spinning, bull whipping, and he is our drummer in the show. |
Victor Kent has been performing magic since he was seven years old. Victor believes it’s crazy to hire assistants when you can “grow” your own. Victor has performed alone and with his family all over the world; more recently in Japan, Canada, and Bermuda. His interest in magic was born out of the gift of a tiny plastic magic trick called the Ball Vase from his grandmother when he was seven. From there, trips to the library and birthday trips to magic shops have lead to a lifetime of magic. Starting off as a birthday party magician, moving up to malls, schools, and libraries Victor, and now his family, now perform for corporate events, Fairs, Cruise Ships, and Theaters. Today, beside the illusions, Victor has added escapes, and fire eating to his repertoire.
The show the Kent’s are presenting in the 2004 season is chuck full of family quality fun. There will be levitations, including a child from the audience in an Aladdin style magic carpet ride, appearing and vanishing people and animals, audience participation tricks, escapes, a patriotic show with the Appearing Living Statue of Liberty, and so much more. You will meet their bunnies, doves, and chicken as well. You will even get to see the Kent’s perform their upside down straitjacket escape. Miles might even try for the record. And of course there is plenty of juggling, fire-eating, comedy, music, and many other grand illusions.
A show for the family, of the family, by a family!
